At midnight yesterday (26), the suspension of flights to Brazil, Chile and Mexico was announced from 00:00 on March 29 to April 9 inclusive. This is in addition to the interruption of flights from the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland that has been taking place for approximately three months.
With this, the airlines and destinations directly affected are:
Brazil
- Argentinian airlines: From and to São Paulo (Guarulhos), Rio de Janeiro (Galeao) and Florianópolis; There remains more information on the latest flights to that destination, although other journalistic media indicated that after the deadline it would maintain a weekly operation to the destinations to bring its passengers who are stranded.
- LATAM Airlines: From and to San Pablo (Guarulhos), the last flight will take place on March 27 with the LA / JJ 8003/8004.
- Ethiopian Airlines: From and to San Pablo (Guarulhos); Those who come from Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) will not be affected.
- Turkish Airlines: From and to San Pablo (Guarulhos), the last flight will take place on March 28 with TK 15/16. Those who come from Istanbul (Turkey) will not be affected.
Eventually, those who are in Brazil or some of the mentioned cities, it is recommended that they opt for flights from Asuncion, Paraguay) with Aerolineas Argentinas and Paranair and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia) with Aerolineas Argentinas and Boliviana de Aviación.
Now, those who use Brazil as a stopover from Europe, it is recommended that they opt as a stopover to Lima (Peru), Bogotá (Colombia), Panama City, Ethiopian Airlines from Addis Ababa, Turkish Airlines from Istanbul or direct flights of airlines that offer services from Europe.
Travelers coming from the United States or other destinations are recommended to choose as a stopover in Lima (Peru), Bogotá (Colombia), Panama City or direct flights of airlines that offer services from the United States.
Chile
- LATAM Airlines: From and to Santiago de Chile; The last flights will be LA 475/474 on March 28 and LA 477/478 flights on March 27.
- SKY Airline: From and to Santiago de Chile; the last flight will take place on March 27 with the H2 503/504.
- JetSMART Argentina / Chile: From and to Santiago de Chile.

Mexico
- AeroMexico: From and to Mexico City; the last flights will take place as AM 28/29 on March 27 and 28.
- Argentinian airlines: From and to Cancun; The last flight will be made as AR 1370/137 on March 26 with return on March 27, although other journalistic media indicated that after the deadline it would maintain a weekly operation to the destinations to bring its passengers who are stranded.
Eventually, those who use Mexico as a stopover or are in said countries to go to Argentina, it is recommended that they opt for flights from Lima Peru) with Aerolineas Argentinas and LATAM Airlines; City of Panama with Copa Airlines and Bogota Colombia) with Aerolineas Argentinas and Avianca. Additionally, they can use as a scale Dallas/Fort Worth con American Airlines; Houston con United Airlines; Atlanta with Delta Air Lines and Miami with Aerolineas Argentinas and American Airlines.
With this new change, international flights to Argentina are exponentially reduced; adding that services abroad from airports in the interior of the country are still suspended, leaving the only access road the Jorge Newbery Airport and Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza) in Buenos Aires.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, a global aeronautical intelligence company, and reconfirming with the companies’ reservation systems … we have compiled the regular international passenger flights available for the next days and April. Given the dynamics of the pandemic, some operations may be canceled.
