More than a million people are expected to follow the event on both banks of the estuary. However, certain restrictions and recommendations must be taken into account. There are closed streets, closed bridges, limited capacity to guarantee safety. We bring together all the practical information.
From 4:30 p.m. the Athletic barge will begin its journey up the Nervión estuary with the red and white players on board. The event, which is expected to be massive and historic, has started much earlier for the fans. Numerous people have been stationed since yesterday, trying to secure a privileged place so as not to lose any detail.

TRÃFICO
In Bilbaowill affect this way:
Surroundings of the Town Hall and Arenal. Arenal Bridges, City Hall: closed to traffic. Sendeja, Viuda de Epalza, Arenal, Ribera streets are closed to traffic (from the La Merced bridge to Arenal), access to Askao and Prim streets is cut off.
Botica Vieja area, Avenida de las Universidades and Paseo Campo VolantÃn. The section between Hermanos Aguirre and Heliodoro de la Torre, Avenida Universidades, and Paseo Campo VolantÃn (between Plaza La Salve and Plaza Ernesto Erkoreka) has been cut.
Olabeaga. Until 8:00 p.m., access to and exit from the Olabeaga neighborhood is closed, from the Plaza Sagrado Corazón-Muelle Olabeaga.
Uribitarte and Abandoibarra. The Uribitarte promenade, closed to traffic. Abandoibarra Avenue and Ramón Rubial Street may be closed to traffic.
Zorrozaurre. Until 7:30 p.m., access to the island of Zorrotzaurre is restricted (only residents, emergency services and public services are allowed).
Ribera Elorrieta. Until 6:30 p.m., access to Bilbao through the Ribera Elorrieta is cut off.
The City Council of a bit will make the following cuts from 12:00 p.m.:
The Sands. Areetako Etorbidea-Barria nº 25. Circulation will not be allowed towards Barria Street to safeguard the bordering areas with the Las Arenas dock and Churruca dock. The streets Barria, Arieta, Urkijo, Las Mercedes, Paulino Mendivil and Muelle Churruca were affected.
Circulation is prohibited on Eduardo Coste and Máximo Aguirre streets towards the Tomás Olabarri pier, with the exception of neighbors and users of the Bizkaia Bridge.
Possible closures on Avenida de Zugatzarte, Areetako Etorbidea and Eduardo Coste, depending on traffic conditions.
In Leiathe greatest effects are expected on the margin of the estuary.
The estuary road (Avenida Autonomía) will be closed from 12:00 p.m. (traffic through Gabriel Aresti and Felipe del RÃo streets). Parking is prohibited from 8:00 a.m.
In Erandio, the Municipal Police has closed the estuary road to traffic from 12:00 to 18:00 (until Lutxana). Along the promenade (pier in Altzaga) and in the Axpe/Astrabudua section there will be fenced areas.
Barakaldo
The passage was cut off in Lutxana and Burtzeña due to the poor condition of the docks and the absence of protection elements.
Specific cuts in the Urban area to facilitate the passage of pedestrians to the conclusion of the La Gabarra pass.
Portuguese
From 2:30 p.m., access to Mª Diaz de Haro street is closed (except for the neighbors’ garages). From 4:30 p.m. until the end of the event, traffic was completely cut off.
Sestao
Access to the estuary, between the Vicinay Cadenas company and the Kaiku rowing club facilities, closed to traffic and the passage of people due to the high level of danger.
MOBILITY
It is recommended to use public transport, which has reinforced the service, and not to attend in a private vehicle.
At several points, mobility on foot will be difficult. The Pedro Arrupe and Zubizuri bridges will be closed to pedestrian traffic. The stairs of the Puente de la Salve will also be closed to people, while the elevator will be reserved for neighbors, people with functional diversity and emergency services.
It is recommended to come early enough.

CAPACITIES
In Portuguese, the Iron Pier will have a controlled capacity of 5,000 people for safety reasons. The bottom part will remain closed. The sheet of water and the Rialia dam will also be delimited, with controlled access.
In Sestao, the Benedicta breakwater will have a maximum capacity of 720 people in the breakwater area. The old pier area will have capacity for 80 more people. The La Benedicta promenade will not have capacity limitations.
Barakaldo has reserved the breakwater of the Portu dock for more than a thousand people with disabilities.
PROHIBITIONS
– Navigation, mooring or anchoring with any type of boat is prohibited. Access to ramps, piers, docking areas or docks is also not permitted, in addition to jumping or bathing in the waters of the estuary.
– It is totally forbidden to climb traffic lights, lampposts, railings or unstable elements.
– The flight of unauthorized drones is not allowed.
OTHER TIPS
– Do not place minors or people with reduced mobility in the front row: in case of crowding there may be a risk of being crushed against the fence or railings.
– With boys and girls, carry by hand or in your arms. Identify each minor with her name and write down a contact phone number in case she gets lost.
– Always have possible exits and evacuation routes located in case it is necessary.
– If you go in a group, agree on a meeting point in case someone gets lost in the crowd.
– Euskalmet expects maximum temperatures of 22 degrees and sunny weather during the ascent of the barge, it is advisable to hydrate if you are going to stay in the place for a long time.
– Respect at all times the established security zones and the signage in restricted access areas, without exceeding them.
– In case of evacuation, stay calm and walk quickly, without running and in an orderly manner. Try to help people who need help and collaborate with disabled people.
