There are a total of 4 levels in Special Research. However, the tasks are quite complicated and time consuming.
So far 2 of the 4 levels are known. All other tasks will take time to arrive, as a mission at level 2/4 takes at least 30 days.

You have to know that here: This mission lasts at least 30 days. So you have to catch at least one Pokémon for 30 days in a row. If you forget it in a day, it will restart and you will have to start the mission again.

Why always 151? That’s because Mew is the 151st Pokémon in Kanto-Dex and this region has a total of 151 Pokémon to offer. Therefore, the number is at the center of a special investigation.
So how does Shiny Mew exist? This is still not entirely clear. It is likely to be part of the special research rewards.
However, Mew’s dazzling specimen will be guaranteed. So you don’t have to worry about not getting the Shiny.

Is there also something for players without a ticket? If you haven’t purchased a ticket for the Kanto Tour, you won’t have access to Shiny Mew’s special research.
However, it is quite possible that ticketed players will get their own investigation with Shiny Mew a bit later. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
