Tuesday, at the municipal center of Geugnon, 85 appointments were scheduled for the blood drive set up by the Amicale for the voluntary blood donation of Gueugnon and the surrounding area. 77 donors showed up, including three new ones. In all 68, were collected. Among the generous donors, Jean-Paul Panier, universal donor who, thanks to his O negative blood group, can donate blood to everyone. Aged 67 and from Neuvy-Grandchamp, this retiree from the Aperam factory recently received the Gold medal for voluntary blood donors and already has 115 donations on his list during this fundraising campaign.
“I was 18 when I first donated blood and haven’t stopped since. I have the feeling that I am helping and being able to save lives, ”says Jean-Paul Panier.
