The issue of the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra Faction M Taufik moving to the NasDem Party blew hard. What caused it? This is the analysis of the Director of Indonesian Political Parameters Adi Prayitno.
Adi’s analysis shows that there are differences in political sects between Taufik and Gerindra regarding support for the presidential candidate. Adi said the difference arose because Taufik supported DKI Governor Anies Baswedan.
“Taufik had prayed for Anies to become president. Meanwhile, Gerindra was one thousand percent supportive full Prabowo goes forward,” Adi told reporters, Wednesday (30/3/2022).
“Of course Taufik’s statement makes Gerindra’s internal political situation not conducive because so far Gerindra has been perpendicular to Prabowo, not Anies, who is not a party cadre,” he added.
Adi assessed that the parties in Indonesia generally apply the ‘iron law’. This means that if a cadre disobeys the party’s instructions, they will be fired.
“That’s a political reality within the party, it cannot be normative and scientific. There is even an allegation that Taufik’s maneuvers were part of the effort to mobilize people HMI connection support Anies,” he said.
Furthermore, Adi saw that M Taufik’s move would have a big impact if it actually happened. M Taufik, he said, also sacrificed many things.
“Many things are at stake if M Taufik leaves Gerindra just because he wants to support Anies running for the presidential election. But that’s politics,” he added.
