Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) yesterday afternoon visited the Formula E circuit in Ancol, North Jakarta. President Jokowi accompanied by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan in its activities at the Formula E Circuit.
Executive Director of Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) Dedi Kurnia Syah has his own analysis of President Jokowi accompanied by Anies reviewing the Formula E circuit. Dedi sees Jokowi’s visit as a strong signal Formula E will be implemented.
“First, it is a strong sign that Formula E is certain to be implemented, and Jokowi’s appearance will certainly provide full support for the transnational event,” Dedi told reporters on Monday (4/25/2022).
Dedi’s analysis, Jokowi and Anies ‘intimate’ also dismissed the rumors that developed. According to him, the moment on the electric car racing circuit dismissed rumors that the two were politically feuding.
“This is important at least to reduce the tension of opinion contestation in cyberspace, which has been boisterous as if Anies and Jokowi are at odds politically. Even though this is not the case,” said Dedi.
According to Dedi, Jokowi’s moment of building public trust in the government through policies in Jakarta is rare. Dedi saw that the former mayor of Solo also wanted to feel positive about the Formula E program initiated by Anies.
“Politically, Jokowi’s direct appearance is because he sees an opportunity to build public trust in the government. This is rare. So far, Jokowi has been more responsive to agendas outside DKI Jakarta,” said Dedi.
“However, because Formula E has the opportunity to have an impact on empathy and public sympathy, Anies has already been praised by the public because of JIS. This time, Jokowi wants to feel the same impact,” he concluded.
Jokowi-Anies at the Formula E Circuit
Previously, Jokowi was accompanied by the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan to review the preparation of Formula E in Ancol, North Jakarta. Jokowi said the Formula E race track was ready.
“Yes, I want to see what formula E preparation looks like and on the field as we see it, I think the race track is ready,” Jokowi told reporters on Monday (25/1).
Jokowi also gave notes regarding the preparation of Formula E. He hopes that the public can see Formula E in June.
“Then maybe the only thing left to do is chase the paddock and for the grandstand, there is still time to run out of Eid. And yes, we hope that in early June, we can see the race,” said Jokowi.
Anies gave a more detailed explanation. He also explained the progress of the construction of the paddock to the fence in the Formula E race track area.
“If the track is 100 percent complete, what is currently under construction, as stated by the President, is the paddock, the grand stand, then also the fence on top of the concrete, there will be a fence to protect it. That’s all that will be done the same as the preparation for the facilities for guests who use the mall next door. But in general the track is 100 percent complete,” said Anies
