Kediri-Tulungagung toll road 44.51 kilometers (km) long is being tendered to be built. The project was initiated by the Indonesian cigarette company PT Gudanggaram tbk.
Mayor of Kediri Abdullah Abu Bakar publicized the Kediri-Tulungagung Toll Road Construction Plan to 1,031 affected residents on October 31, 2022. The residents affected by the toll road construction are from 2 sub-districts and 8 urban villages .
“Spread across two sub-districts namely Mojoroto sub-district and Kota sub-district, eight sub-districts namely Semampir, Bujel, Sukorame, Pojok, Mrican, Gayam, Ngampel and Mojoroto sub-districts,” Abdullah said as quoted. from Kediri City Government Website, Friday (25/11/2022) ).
Abdullah explained that this socialization served to equalize people’s perceptions of development Kediri-Tulungagung toll road included in the National Strategic Project (PSN). It can also provide the public with an understanding of the construction of this toll road.
PUPR Ministry’s Kediri-Tulungagung Toll Road Land Acquisition Team Leader Zulfawandi said that the land acquisition process in the project was conducted in four stages.
“Starting from the planning phase we went through. Then the preparation phase where one of them is through today’s awareness raising. Then the next phase is the public consultation and the implementation phase which will involve many stakeholders,” he explained .
to be known, Kediri-Tulungagung toll road is an unsolicited Public Private Partnership (PPP) project proposed by PT Gudang Garam Tbk. This toll road is a continuation of the Kertosono-Kediri toll road.
This project is also a PSN under Presidential Decree No. 80 of 2019 related to the acceleration of economic development in the Gresik-Bangkalan-Mojokerto-Surabaya-Sidoarjo-Lamongan-Bromo-Tengger-Semeru region, as well as in the Wilis and Southern routes.
