Committed to the idea of saving lives, 35 Mendoza participated in the XXIV Voluntary Blood Collection and registration in the bone marrow registry, which took place this last week of 2022 at the municipal esplanade of Guaymallén. The activity was organized by the Municipality, the Regional Center of Hemotherapy and the Coordinating Institute of Ablation and Implantation of Mendoza.
In addition to generously donating their blood, they have expressed their willingness to join the global bone marrow donor registry. For this, during the same extraction, a blood sample is taken in order to obtain data that allows to determine the level of total compatibility (the so-called “soul mate”).
A favorable 2022
In the closing year, Five operations have been completed successfully collect blood and screen for potential bone marrow donors.
The voluntary “yes” of neighbors and visitors made it possible to reach the precious figure of 194 effective participants committed to preserving human lives. “This very positive balance renews the municipal commitment to redouble its efforts by 2023”, expressed by the Municipality.
