Chinchilla, general secretary of the Creo party, was a councilor of the Municipality of Villa Nueva for four years, a deputy of the Legislative Body for 12 years and president of Congress 2017-2018.
This week, Minister Miriam Roquel swore in Oscar Chinchilla, former deputy of the Creo Bank, as manager of the Technical Institute for Training and Productivity (Intecap).
Chinchilla, general secretary of the Creo party, was also a councilor of the Municipality of Villa Nueva for four years and was a deputy of the Legislative Body for 12 years. He was President of Congress 2017-2018.
However, the news was not liked by the population who immediately questioned the appointment. “Wasn’t there someone with a different career than Oscar Chinchilla?†, “There is no one in 17 million people to put someone recycled and from the old politics,†are some comments on social networks.
A question: have any of you seen if there is an official explanation on the networks or web portals of the @GuatemalaGob about the reasons why Oscar Chinchilla was appointed manager of INTECAP?
And any other communication as to why his swearing-in was done in secret? 🤔

According to the Ministry of Labor, the reason for appointing Oscar Chinchilla would be “a government decision, and they expect him to do a good job.”

Oscar Chinchilla was always a processor of phantom positions in the executive for his benefit. This appointment is UNACCEPTABLE.
