Ex president Barcelona Sandro Rosell denies leaving Pep Guardiola because of him, but rather strife in the dressing room. Rosell also claims, Barcelona reached the pinnacle of success in his era.
Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona between 2008-2012, which marked the change of presidency from Joan Laporta to Sandro Rosell. In Barcelona also Guardiola built a reputation as one of the best coaches in the world.
Guardiola orbited players who graduated from the La Masia football academy such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, and Gerard Pique. Together with them, Guardiola successfully presented a total of 14 titles, including six titles in a year in 2009. Meanwhile, Guardiola’s Barcelona is considered one of the best teams, if not the best team, in the history of football.

Nevertheless, cooperation Pep Guardiola and Barcelona must end in the summer of 2012. Guardiola reasoned that he was exhausted physically and mentally. However, there are rumors that Guardiola’s departure was due to a bad relationship with Rosell.
Guardiola chose to rest for a year then coached Bayern Munich before joining Manchester City until now. Sandro Rosell denies the notion that he caused Guardiola to leave Camp Nou.
“That’s not true,” Rosell told The newspaper. “Well Guardiola as well as the players have explained it actively and passively. Pep left because of an argument with the players, because of a problem in the dressing room.
Sandro Rosell’s era at Barcelona was marked by eight trophies, including two Spanish League titles, one Copa del Rey, and one Champions League. Rosell claims his achievements on and off the pitch are unmatched by any Barca president.
“In terms of titles, money made, inheritance created, in social functions, in foundations, we are the best. There is data,” he continued.
“You can say: ‘I don’t like Rosell, I can’t stand her.’ However, objective data from my management has been displayed and audited on the official website Barca. I’ve never defended myself, but the numbers say so,” added Sandro Rosell.
