FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Election Guard Association launched the jagapemilu.com platform in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Friday (5/1/24). The jagapemilu.com platform was created to invite the public to oversee an honest, fair and transparent democratic process.
The launch of this platform was attended by a number of figures such as former KPK Commissioner Erry Riyana Hardjapamekas, former Deputy Coordinator of BP ICW Luky Djani, Professor of Legal Anthropology, University of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Sulistyowati Irianto, Constitutional Law Expert Bivitri Susanti, Founder Gusdurian Alissa Wahid. Also present were UI Faculty of Social and Political Science psychologist Meuthia Ganie, Public Policy Observer Agus Pambagio, former Chair of the Indonesian Bawaslu Abhan, former Indonesian KPU Commissioner Hadar Nafis Gumay, and Clean Election Observer Eddy Wijaya.
Eddy Wijaya welcomed the launch of the digital platformjagapemilu.com positively. According to him, this is a good thing to ensure that this election can take place honestly, fairly and neutrally. “So that the election process can be safe and conducive. “That’s the most important thing,” said Eddy after the platform launch event.
However, Eddy appealed to the Election Watch Association to strictly verify its volunteers. Don’t let anyone come from certain parties who actually want to commit fraud. “So, in order to be able to operate neutrally, of course everyone who volunteers must be properly verified. “This includes being able to properly screen if there are reports and evidence of fraud uploaded to the jagapemilu.com website,” he said.
