The interim guard at Neunbrunnen in Zurich-Seebach will probably serve as an external location for the guard at the airport until the north guard with central deployment logistics (ZEL) is moved into place in 2025. Since December 2021, the professional fire brigade has been operating the temporary location 24 hours a day.
The infrastructure is appropriate and functional, but not designed to last. It only offers space for a small part of the necessary resources and forces. Only the new northern station with ZEL will offer space for all the fire brigade’s resources, the paramedics, the central operational logistics and the integration of the militia fire brigade.
