On November 13, the Guangzhou Municipal Information Bureau held a press conference on epidemic prevention and control. At the meeting, Chen Xueming, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, reported that according to the current overall situation of the city’s epidemic prevention and control, considering that there are still new social cases in the city in the past 3 days, and there are still campus groups of epidemics in some areas, according to the scientific requirements of epidemic prevention and control, accurate and humanized, after thorough research and judgment, the municipal command bureau for prevention and epidemic control is agreed and the following arrangements are made for the next stage of educational and teaching work in the city:

Effective November 14 (next Monday), primary and secondary schools in Nansha, Zengcheng and Conghua districts will continue to carry out offline teaching as normal, and kindergartens will return to kindergartens normally; primary and secondary schools in Huadu District (except Xinhua Street and Huacheng Street) offline teaching will resume in an orderly manner, and kindergartens will return to kindergartens in an orderly manner.

Primary and secondary schools in the other seven districts postponed returning to school and continued to teach online; kindergartens have postponed the return to the nursery school. Those who have housing conditions in the third grade of high school will implement a completely closed teaching management in the school. Off-site educational institutions suspend offline teaching; trust and childcare institutions suspend services. Closed management is implemented in spike colleges and universities.
