The Overwatch League may be in trouble and may not return for the 2024 season, but that doesn’t mean the 2023 season is stopping anytime soon. With a championship and a multi-million dollar prize pool in the pot, the teams are still fighting to win the elusive title, and in that regard, the Guangzhou Charge have made some roster changes in an effort to secure more victories.
Specifically, Charge has announced that Shin “PIGGY” Min-jun is out of the team, and that Qiu “GA9A” Jiaxin is replacing him. GA9A comes as a former member of the Chengdu Hunters, a team that has essentially pulled out of the Overwatch League as of late.
In connection with the signing stated Charge: “The roots of Chinese Overwatch run deep in our team, and the countless stars form part of both our history and our future.
“Today we are joined by another member of this legendary region’s history. Join us in welcoming Qiu “GA9A” Jiaxin to the Charge family.”
There is no mention of what is the next step for Piggy.
