The reporter learned from the meeting that this year, the province will build 100 provincial-level model towns, develop and expand 50 central towns, and guide a group of construction companies to participate in the “million-dollar project”.
In recent years, Guangdong has continued to promote the construction of beautiful polder towns, and included them in the province’s top ten people’s livelihood matters last year. As of the end of last year, all the tasks of the province’s beautiful fair towns have been completed. All 1,123 fair towns in the province have reached the “livable fair town standard”, and 348 of them have further reached the “model fair town standard”.
In the construction of beautiful fair towns, Guangdong has focused on the improvement of the living environment. The “three cleanings, three demolition and three renovations” have achieved results, the “three fronts” governance has gradually deepened, and the overall appearance of the fair town has continued to improve. At the same time, various localities have improved infrastructure and improved public service levels according to local conditions. The environment, sanitation, and facilities of Weizhen have been continuously improved, and small parks and small squares have become high-quality public activity spaces. In addition, the supporting policies and funds for the construction of Meilixu Town have been continuously improved. Last year, the province planned to carry out 7,329 Meiliwei Town construction projects, with an estimated investment of 90.1 billion yuan.
According to reports, the construction of Meiliwei Town has laid a solid foundation for the implementation of the “Million Project” and the promotion of township construction. In the next step, Guangdong Province will focus on “strengthening the node function of connecting towns and cities with villages”, comprehensively improve the quality of human settlements in Weizhen, improve infrastructure construction, and enhance public service capabilities.
At present, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is drafting the “Work Plan on Implementing the High-Quality Development Project of Hundred Counties, Thousands of Towns and Thousands of Villages” to Promote Urban Construction, which will improve the comprehensive carrying capacity of counties, strengthen the node function of connecting towns and villages, Promote urban construction in terms of building modern livable farm houses and guiding construction companies to participate.
This year, Guangdong will focus on building 100 provincial-level models of beautiful fair towns, and accurately classify towns and towns. The Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will issue a classification method for towns and towns in the province to guide the development of differentiated, high-quality, and characteristic towns and towns. Among them, the action of building a strong central town will be implemented this year, focusing on the development and expansion of 50 central towns, and supporting the construction of central towns with good location advantages and good development momentum to become county-level sub-centers.
For rural areas, the province will comprehensively promote the improvement of the quality and safety of rural housing. This year, each city above the prefecture level will select one county (city, district) to carry out a pilot project of farm house construction, improve the quality of farm house construction, and shape the characteristics of farm house according to local conditions.
Urban construction is inseparable from the participation of enterprises. This year, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will select a group of construction enterprises to establish a list of top 300 enterprises, deeply participate in the “Hundred Million Project”, and focus on creating 50 project examples.
