José Ángel de la Cruz Tagle, better known as “Guajaja”, expressed his excitement over the debut of his son, Ángel de la Cruz, as goalkeeper for the Alianza Lima club in the match they played against Unión Comercio on Sunday, February 18.
The 21-year-old wore the blue and white starting jersey due to the absences of Ángelo Campos and Francisco Saravia, main goalkeepers, and was a key player in the 3-1 victory of the La Victoria team.
“Ángel was always confident and has always wanted to get on the field, but the opportunity that was unique did not come. It was very difficult with the other two previous goalkeepers, but it already happened, everyone in the house has celebrated this event,” he told the newspaper Extra.
