Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave a false reply that the GST compensation was not allowed because Kerala did not provide the statement certified by the Accountant General. The UDF-BJP unholy alliance was hidden in the Parliament during the question session in the Lok Sabha on Monday. The finance minister said that Kerala has to give a five-year statement from 2017–18 to 2021–22 and that Premachandran will talk to the government and take steps to send the statement. The finance minister said that the center is complaining about not providing funds without sending a statement even for one year. Soon, Premachandran filled the media with allegations that the Center was not paying GST compensation due to Kerala’s lack of grip. The demand of states including Kerala is to extend the compensation period. Another Rs 750 crore is due as compensation. Read on deshabhimani.com
