GSK arms the leadership of Haleon with three new appointments

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) supports its future spin-off. The British pharmaceutical company has appointed Asmita Dubey, Marie-Anne Aymerich, and Bryan Supran as Haleon board membersthe new independent company to be formed after the separation of the business consumer healthcarescheduled for July 2022.

These appointments come after Dave Lewis was appointed non-executive chairman last December, and after the appointment of six directors in March 2022, as reported by GSK in a statement. Lewis explained that “all these positions, together, bring a strong understanding of the global consumer sector, as well as relevant innovation and experience in Asia”.

Dubey has more than 25 years of experience working in consumer businesses. Since 2013 she has been working at the L’Oréal Group and is currently director of marketing and the digital department of this company.

For its part, Aymerich has more than thirty years of experience in the consumer and luxury sectors. Most recently, he led Unilever’s oral care business, where he developed a portfolio of new premium brands.

Supran has served as Vice President senior and deputy general counsel of Pfizerwhere he has advised management and the board of directors on strategic initiatives and business development transactions.

The creation of Haleon is the result of a series of investments and strategic changes experienced by the business of consumer healthcare of GSK in the last eight years. Currently, this area represents sales of approximately 10,000 million pounds. As a new company, Haleon will have a portfolio of brands, including Sensodyne, Voltadol, parodontax, Corega or Multicentrum.

GSK is a British pharmaceutical company resulting from the merger of Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham. It is also a biochemical research company and its products cover a large part in the field of pharmacy, but some focus on the Central Nervous System (CNS), oncology, antibiotics, respiratory and endocrinology.
