What goals do you have in the short term?
GS Yuasa is a manufacturer with a strong focus on developing technologies for brands, and this allows us to have additional advantages when developing products for the aftermarket. For example, the agreement with Honda that we have recently communicated and all the investment in lithium products for the future.
When we say that we are one of the largest battery manufacturers in the world, we are not just talking: we are leaders in motorcycles and our industrial products are the first choice for the main brands. We have that strength and capacity and with that we face the Iberian automotive and VI market, providing solutions both at the technology and marketing level. In Portugal we have already launched the four GS Yuasa brands and we continue to consolidate our position and seek our market share: we want to be the leader in battery sales in Portugal. In Spain our distribution is mature and we are present in the main purchasing groups and we try to consolidate our position by offering differentiating solutions for our clients.
Our main objective is to earn the trust of our clients and support their growth; For this reason, we have developed exclusive promotions and we have a very interesting communication plan that also reaches social networks and that joins a training service with two channels: face-to-face with our team and an online platform. Thanks to our sales systems and a specialized team, we will continue to grow in the coming years and, in the medium term, we will be one of the main choices for batteries in the Iberian Peninsula.
What are you working more intensively on right now? Your main focus now?
We have prepared the team to develop each client and each point of sale, support the sale and create a strong brand image. We want to stand out from our competition by creating and offering solutions to our distribution. We have improved our offer and have updated our loyalty program for workshops, the KYOTO program, which allows each client to choose their best workshops and upload them to our program, allowing workshops to have permanent contact with the factory to obtain the latest technological news and technical support as well as image and exclusive offers.
At the same time we are launching our premium brand GS BATTERY on the market: we already have two clients and we will have more news soon.
