Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny Collaborate on Worldwide Hit “Un x100to”

Mexico City.- Grupo Frontera, after its collaboration with Bad Bunny, managed to dethrone Peso Pluma and Eslabón Armado with their hit “Ella Baila Sola”, since they are now in first place worldwide on Spotify with their release “Un x100to”.

“Un x100to” climbed in two days to the first place in the world top of the platform, leaving Featherweight in second and Miley Cyrus in third.

After the great success, Bad Bunny assured in an interview that this collaboration with Grupo Frontera is due to his love for regional Mexican music.

“What is happening seems beautiful to me. It is very necessary because the world needed, I think the world needed to know more about all the culture, the Latino culture,” said the ‘bad rabbit’.

They release ‘an X100to’
Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera premiered the song “un X100to” this Monday, April 17, which has already generated various opinions on social networks.

The video shows the Puerto Rican artist with his well-known look, only this time he added some cowboy boots to complement it.

The song that has a romantic cumbia style talks about someone who misses their partner and their attempt to forget them. This is the first time that Bad Bunny collaborates for this type of genre.

Grupo Frontera did not know that it would collaborate with Bad Bunny
In an interview for Apple Music with Zane Lowe, Adelaido Solís III, lead singer of Grupo Frontera, said that they were not aware that the song would be a collaboration with Bad Bunny until the day the video clip was recorded.

“Well, it’s a funny story, we actually didn’t know we’d be working with him until the day (the video was shot). We recorded the song without knowing that he would be on the song.

“Edgar Barrera, the composer of the song, he told us that he had a surprise for us and we said ‘it’s fine’ but he didn’t want to tell us what the surprise was,” he said.

Zane continued with the interview, laughing at how strange it is that Grupo Frontera didn’t know about the collaboration.

“It was a big surprise, you could be mad at him but when you see Benito walk towards you from his trailer on the day of the video,” Adelaido replied.
