Grue Murderer Receives 15-Year Prison Sentence for Killing Lisa Iren Karlsen

MURDERED: Lisa Iren Karlsen was 40 years old. On the night of 1 March last year, she was found murdered at home.

Mother-of-three Lisa Irene Karlsen (40) was killed in Grue in March last year. Now a man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder.

Lisa Iren Karlsen (40) leaves behind three children.

– We are satisfied with the verdict. We note that they have followed our argumentation on all points, both in terms of the level of punishment, the deduction for confession, reaction and detention detentionDetention can be imposed on dangerous and sane offenders when a normal prison sentence is not considered sufficient. There must also be a risk of repetition of serious crime. . We have been fully upheld, says prosecutor Johan Petter Bærland.

On the question of custody, the court writes the following:

– Reference is made to the brutal way in which the murder was committed, with repeated violence with a knife over some time. The murder was committed with premeditation and under particularly aggravating circumstances.

In the aftermath of the murder, he took, among other things, several photos of the deceased.

The man’s defender Simon Ladderud Stende says they will consider appealing the verdict.

– We disagree with the district court’s assessment of the issue of detention, seen in the light of current practice from the Supreme Court. The district court’s judgment is being considered for appeal to the Eidsivating Court of Appeal, says Stende.
