Groysman called on the US, UK and other countries to take over the service of Ukraine’s public debt

According to the politician, today Ukraine faces three most important tasks: to provide the Armed Forces with everything necessary, to support the IDPs, including accommodation and work, and to organize, as far as possible, the normal functioning of state institutions.

“We are facing unprecedented challenges… One of the key issues is the management of public debt. This year we have to pay more than UAH 570 billion. This is an unbearable burden in the conditions of the war waged by Ukraine. partners, first of all to the USA, Great Britain, with a proposal that they take over the servicing of the public debt. This would free up a resource that can be used to ensure the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support the income of citizens,” Groysman said.

In his opinion, this assistance would be feasible and transparent, since we are talking about paying for services – interest on debts. The politician stressed that this would give Ukraine additional stability and a real resource for the army and economy.

“We need to ensure the functioning of the rear, expand our land capabilities, achieve industrial visa-free travel to European markets. The next stage is the relocation of enterprises. We are talking about the physical relocation of enterprises and the relocation of employees of these enterprises. This requires two separate state programs,” Groysman said.

As the politician noted, financial resources for such large-scale goals can be found either through the release of “debt” payments, or through funds to support Ukraine.

“And these are fair questions that the president, the government, and society are asking,” the leader of the Ukrainian Strategy added.
