With a view to continued growth, Arla Foods Netherlands is looking for member dairy farmers who can supply meadow milk to the dairy cooperative.

‘In 2022 and beyond, Arla Foods is committed to further growth of its strategic brands, including Arla organic, Melkunie Protein and Melkunie Breaker. We expect that we will continue to grow in the coming years and therefore need more milk. That is why we are going to recruit new member dairy farmers,’ says Mark Boot, managing director of Arla Foods Netherlands, Belgium and France.’
Interested dairy farmers can report to Arla Nederland. After an exploratory meeting, the dairy cooperative assesses which companies are eligible to become members. A spokesperson for Arla could not yet say how much extra milk will be needed in the coming period, the cooperative has insufficient insight into this. It is also still unclear what additional requirements may be, in addition to meadow milk. That will be announced early next week.
She does report that, as soon as Arla thinks it has enough new members, the recruitment will stop.
