Groups and admins finally get a much-needed feature with new WhatsApp update.

WhatsApp by Meta is and remains one of the most popular messenger apps that you can download from Playstore or Apple Store. It’s no wonder that the company behind Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram keeps delivering new updates and functions for them at relatively short intervals.

Meta recently posted the two newest features in their newsroom. It’s about groups and managing them. One of these functions would have liked to see the light of day much earlier. We’ll start with her too. Here we go!

Finally a new possibility for administrators of groups

Meta mentions in their newsroom that they want to give admins more control over privacy in their groups. This translates into a tool that allows you, as the group manager, to determine who joins the group.

So if you create a group and share it with multiple people, you’ll soon be able to choose who you let into the group and who not. Previously, anyone who had the appropriate link or bar code could simply join a group.

Joint groups faster in view

Anyone who has been using WhatsApp for a long time probably knows it: Groups that you share with a contact are automatically displayed when you go to the person’s profile.

Finding common groups should now be even easierr become. To do this, you simply look for the contact you want to know from which chats you are together. WhatsApp will then already show you the shared groups in the search results.

When is the update coming?

Meta is talking about rolling out the update worldwide in the coming weeks. So it shouldn’t be too long before it arrives on your mobile device. As is usual with such updates, some users will receive the update sooner than others.

What do you think of the new WhatsApp features? will you use them Have you been expecting her for a long time? One could certainly argue that the admin feature could have been there a long time ago. how do you see it? Do you pay attention to such smaller WhatsApp updates at all?
