Terrebonne — The Quebec manufacturer of steel superstructures Groupe ADF announced on Tuesday the signing of a series of new orders worth a total of $142 million (M$) in the United States.
Among these orders is a major contract for the first phase of a construction project in the pharmaceutical sector of the Midwest region.
This new contract for the Midwest covers the design and engineering of the connections, the fabrication work, including the supply of steel and the industrial coating, as well as the erection work for the steel structure of a new large-scale industrial building.
ADF Group states that this project requires high volume production. Work will begin in the coming weeks at the ADF plant in Terrebonne, in Lanaudière, and will be spread over a period of 12 months.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe ADF, Jean Paschini, reports that negotiations with this client for the second phase of the construction project have already begun.
ADF Group’s backlog stood at $376.5 million as of January 31.
