The logistics area of 60,000 square meters is about twice as large as the previous Group7 multi-user center at Munich Airport. After the start-up, the logistics service provider will have a total of 360,000 square meters of logistics space in Germany. The areas are distributed among the locations in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Bremen, Nuremberg, Hanover, Düsseldorf and Neuss near Düsseldorf. At all locations, the Group7 employees also organize transport by air freight, sea freight and overland transport.
The total investment for the 60,000 square meter service center and the 5,000 square meter administration building amounts to 48 million euros. “The development plan was implemented in a record time of just one year,” explained Jocher.
The 5,000 square meter office will be built as an office campus. Green areas, recreation rooms, lounges and a networking area will invite people to exchange ideas and work creatively in addition to modern offices. The planned expansion should create around 210 new jobs for the region.
