Group sexual violence, 21 year old sentenced to ten years

(ANSA) – MODENA, 22 OCTOBER – A 21-year-old was sentenced to ten years in prison today in Modena, at the conclusion of the first degree trial, for a group sexual assault against a young minor who was underage at the time of the events, in 2022. According to what emerged in the courtroom and as already reconstructed by the victim herself, confiding in her best friend, the violence would have taken place inside a house in which she had been invited by two young acquaintances of hers, a minor (who will be judged in a another proceeding) and an adult (convicted this morning). During that meeting, organized to skip school, the victim was allegedly immobilized by the minor and raped by the young man sentenced to ten years in first instance. The public prosecution had requested an eight-year prison sentence for the latter. In addition to the ten-year sentence, this morning in court in Modena an immediately enforceable provisional amount of 20 thousand euros was also established in favor of the young woman, represented in the courtroom by the lawyer Francesco Cavazzuti.
