Group orders for trams are on the rise

Unity is strength. Based on this principle, cities all over Europe agree to place grouped orders for trams. A year ago, Frankfurt an der Oder, Brandenburg and Cottbus, three cities in the German state of Brandenburg, awarded Škoda Transportation a contract for 24 ForCity Plus trams, plus 21 as an option. Then last fall, Tisséo Collectivités, the metropolis of Brest and Grand Besançon Métropole announced the launch of a grouping of orders for the purchase of at least 24 trams for the networks of Toulouse, Brest and Besançon. And just recently, Karlsruhe and Stadler public transport announced the signing of a framework contract for a maximum of 504 tram-trains for four German and two Austrian networks.
