NEW YORK – A group of men allegedly surrounded a driver and stole his car at a New York City gas station, police said. In addition, the suspects threatened to kill him if he did not hand over his car, according to a police report.
The 26-year-old driver was allegedly robbed at a gas station in Harlem, in West 145th Street, a few minutes after midnight on Saturday, authorities said.
The 26-year-old driver was getting into his Toyota Rav 4 when he was allegedly surrounded by the suspects. At that time, the authorities said, they forced him to “get out of the car while threatening to kill the victim.” Police said the suspects showed no weapons.
After the victim left, the three alleged thieves allegedly took the man’s car and fled to the east of the city. West 145th Street.
