Group of 4 Uses Hammer and Knives to Rob a Manhattan Store – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department has launched a search for four people who attacked a convenience store with a hammer and knives for a robbery in Manhattan.

The event took place on Thursday, February 2, at approximately 4:00 pm in a store located at 100 Clinton Street.

Two of the four robbers forced their way behind the cash register and flashed knives at the clerks, with one robber holding a knife to the male victim’s throat as he demanded money and property.

The perpetrator then took a wallet, keys, and a cell phone from the employee. A third thief used a hammer to break a display case and made off with several electronic devices, according to police.

The four individuals fled the scene with approximately $12,000 worth of electronics and cash. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
