Group dismissals in Agorà. Negotiations are ongoing

A meeting with Agora’s board of directors was held on Friday regarding group layoffs, which – as reported by Wirtualne Media – did not lead to a breakthrough. The “Solidarność” operating at the company informed about the progress of the talks.

“About half a step forward”

According to media reports, Agora plans to say goodbye to 84 employees. In reaction to the release of information on layoffs, since last Friday quickly the number of union members working at the Agora is growing.

“We have just concluded the meeting with the board of directors with reference number three. There are no breakthroughs, but it can probably be concluded with caution that the foundations of the idea are being forged, and on the road to an agreement a few half steps are been brought forward “- meanwhile the representatives of” S “operating in Agorà and the company that broadcasts Radio TOK FM.

“Now we have to count a few things and understand a little, so we will probably meet the board of directors on Wednesday” – he continued.

In the post (published on social networks), the representatives of “S” also apologized for the delays in contacting the people who had submitted a declaration of union membership.

Collective redundancies in Agorà

“The reason for the planned group redundancies is the company’s desire to increase the efficiency of the processes that work in the company and to reduce operating costs” – he said last Friday in Agora’s announcement on layoffs.

“Due to economic and financial factors, namely the economic crisis caused by the conflict in Ukraine, which led, among other things, to an increase in paper prices, and due to the unfavorable forecasts on the economic trend in the coming quarters, changes to the organizational structure of the company “- reads later in the press release.
