Everyone is invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the playground on the Zihl in Nidau. This will take place on Wednesday, June 30th, between 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. as part of a hands-on construction site. The city of Nidau wrote this in a message yesterday.
In addition to the head of civil engineering and the environment, Philippe Messerli, the Janu youth work, the integration department and the Spielraum department, which accompanies the project, will be on site. The Nidau parents’ association and the Lions Club Espace Biel Bienne, both of which are also participating in the project, will also be present.
Another hands-on construction site will take place on Wednesday, September 1st, again from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. A partial opening of the playground is planned for this autumn and an opening ceremony for spring 2022.
With the aim of designing the future playground as needs-oriented as possible, the population was involved from the start and was able to get involved last year. In the spring, the Nidau city council approved the project and the loan (BT reported).
The playground on the Zihl is part of the initiative to make the city more attractive. The initiative aims to enrich public life and public space in Nidau with targeted, participatory measures. mt
