NAfter a 55-year-old from the Urfahr-Raum district hit a car on the B38 with his loaded tractor-trailer, he disappeared from the scene of the accident. A little later he was investigated. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.
According to police, the accident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on November 15th. The special transport was traveling from Etzen towards Merzenstein. The truck hit an oncoming car that was driven by a 47-year-old from the municipality of St. Pölten.
The 47-year-old suffered injuries of an undetermined degree and was taken by ambulance to the Zwettl State Hospital, where she was treated as an outpatient. The left wing mirror and the side window of the driver’s door were destroyed on her car.
The driver of the special transport committed a hit-and-run and was later identified. There was no damage to the special transport. The alcohol tests with the drivers were negative. While the accident was being recorded, the B 38 was only partially passable for a short time.
