In the new Marie Claire Halina tells about her life in the metropolis. “It was good to see the return of summer to New York. Life has returned to the city after being very gloomy for a long time with rats and cockroaches everywhere in the streets.”
But that is not all. She has also become very anxious for people who are worse off than her. “The gap between rich and poor has been more visible than ever since the days of the crown. You see many homeless people and people without arms or legs. At first I had a bit of panic attacks, I am still a farmer from Groningen who does not I know”.
Yet he doesn’t want to leave the States. “I feel very comfortable here now and I want to see what else I can do. Once they see what you can do here, a lot of doors will open, of course I want to exploit them.”
She still doesn’t know if she will remain a New Yorker forever. “I miss my boyfriend, my friends and my family in the Netherlands and it makes me restless sometimes: is my life here or there? The time ahead will show where I really find my place.”
His film recently went out Bodies Bodies Bodies also premiered in the Netherlands. The film also stars Hollywood actor Pete Davidson, formerly of Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. Halina found working with him very special. “Obviously he’s super famous and has more to protect and defend. But Pete is incredible; I’ve mostly seen a hard worker who’s very eager to grow up as a serious actor – and he’s definitely got that talent.”
