Before Christmas last year, Orkla released the juice news Fun Light with a taste of Christmas soda. The product was only available in the stores of Rema 1000 and Coop and it did not take long before the 83,000 juice bottles were torn off the store shelves.

– The reception that Fun Light Julebrus received last year was absolutely fantastic. We knew it was good, but were still surprised by the huge popularity. It is always exciting to launch new flavors, so it was of course great that so many liked the news, says communications manager Anne Gjemdal to Nettavisen.

Many people saw their average to earn a few extra bucks on the popular juice, and on Finn.no Christmas Eve was out for wild sums.

The online newspaper then wrote about private individuals who put out the new Christmas soda juice for between 100 and 1,000 kroner on Finn.no.

Same procedure as last year

Also this year, people have seen their average to earn a few extra kroner on the resale of the successful juice.

At the time of writing, there are 20 juice ads out there. The price level is somewhat lower than last year, but if you want it, you can spend 400 kroner on a bottle. The cheapest juice out on Finn.no costs 60 kroner.

One of those who has used the opportunity to earn a few extra kroner on the juice success is a Trøndelag Nettavisen has talked to. He has stockpiled as many as 60 bottles of Christmas soda juice.

– 1000-3000 per bottle

He will have 5,000 kroner for 36 of the bottles in total, but also sells individual bottles.

– I have sold six bottles in the last week for between 1,000 kroner and 3,000 kroner each, the man claims to Nettavisen.

He says he receives a lot of thin for selling the bottles at well above market price.

– But it is the market that decides. If people can afford to pay 3,000 kroner for a bottle of juice, it’s fine with me, the man says.

The online newspaper knows the identity of the juice seller, but he does not want to be named.

He says this is the first time he has tried to resell sought-after goods on Finn.no.

– I spent about 2,500 kroner in total, so after selling a bottle for 3,000 kroner I was already a plus, says the juice seller to Nettavisen.

He himself does not think the juice is anything special.

– I do not understand why people are so wild after it, but maybe it is better if it is added carbon dioxide, the Trøndelag resident speculates.

He does not fear that his business concept will fall apart now that Orkla has announced a sevenfold increase in production.

– It’s good they increase production, I only do this for fun, the man says.

Has multiplied production

Because since people left the house after the red juice last year, Orkla has prepared better this year. To quench the thirst of Norway’s Christmas soda-drinking population, they have therefore scaled up production.

Seven times as many juice bottles have been made ready this year. According to the plan, almost half a million bottles will be sold away before Christmas.

Can not be stressed by Finn sales

Orkla communications manager Anne Gjemdal says that this year they hope they have produced enough juice, so that consumers will be able to cover their needs by shopping in stores.
