At Haras de Corlay, the breeding season is getting ready. This year, only one stallion will be in the station: Gris de Gris, a thoroughbred who has distinguished himself with numerous victories on the flat, notably at Saint-Cloud. At 1.64 m tall, this confirmed stallion adapts to a large category of mares.
Philippe Garin, president of the association of breeders of blood horses of the Pays de Corlay, explains his choice: “Gris de Gris is a horse“ in his head ”. He produced very efficient foals; the hindsight on his descendants, allows us to count the three and four years old, who have distinguished themselves both on the flat and over obstacles. He is notably the sire of Houx de Gris, a horse which finished first at Auteuil, and “Top prize” of the sales of Deauville. Considering the economic situation, we wanted to offer mating at the price of € 2,300 excl. Tax, foal living at 48 hours ”. In addition, the keeping of the open doors of the stud, scheduled for February 6, is still being studied.
