At a workshop on August 30, 2023, three fields of action were defined with representatives of the mountain communities and other interested parties, which are to be worked on in more depth in the project for landscape enhancement and development in the community of Grindelwald.
These are the fields of action: sycamore maple areas, bush cover and forest edge pressure as well as dry stone walls.
The company Landplan AG developed an action plan as well as a cost and financing overview for the years 2024 to 2026 for the three fields of action.
Total costs of 550,000 francs are expected for these three areas of action.
Local council approves loans
The Swiss Landscape Fund has already pledged a contribution of 25 percent to these costs.
In addition, an application for a financial contribution is also submitted to the Sustainability Fund’s steering committee.
At its last meeting, the local council approved the individual loans for the three areas of action.
