Argentine golfer Emiliano Grillo today presented a card of 68 strokes, two under par on the court, and was nine from the lead in the Charles Schwab Challenge that is played in Texas, United States, and led by local Jordan Spieth.
Grillo had done 70 in the first round and this Friday he dropped to 68. He has 138 against Spieth’s 129 (-11).
The big surprise of the day came with the elimination of the recent champion of the PGA Championship, second Grand Slam of the season, the American Phil Mickelson, who did not pass the qualifying cut with a sum of +2 after the two days.
Tomorrow, Grillo will start the third round at 12:45 Argentine time together with local player Doug Ghim.
The tournament takes place at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, and distributes $ 7.5 million in prizes. (Télam)
