Grillo Jr trial, ‘the girl couldn’t have drunk so much alcohol’

(ANSA) – TEMPIO PAUSANIA, 08 NOV – “If she had consumed all the alcohol she declared she would have been in a state of almost ethyl coma”. According to what has been learned, this is what was stated, in the closed hearing, by the medical examiner Marco Salvi, defense consultant called to the courtroom in Tempio Pausania to present his analyzes carried out on the basis of the declarations of the Italian-Norwegian student, alleged victim of sexual violence by group on the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 in the terraced house owned by the Grillo family in Porto Cervo. Salvi’s advice would thus contribute to the line carried out by the pool of defense lawyers for the accused Ciro Grillo, Francesco Corsiglia, Vittorio Lauria and Edoardo Capitta. A line according to which the girl’s testimony is not reliable. For the medical examiner, the reconstruction of the alcohol intake “is not realistic”, because “they are denied by precise elements such as the conditions of illness in which the alleged victim would have been found, the cell phone videos in which an individual can be seen who has a ‘postural autonomy that otherwise would not be explainable’. The young woman, also in the hearing a year ago, had declared that she had consumed alcohol during the evening spent on the Costa Smeralda, first with friends in the Zamira lounge bar on the Promenade du Port in Porto Cervo, then in the Billionaire nightclub where she had met the group of Genoese. According to the reconstruction and study by consultant Marco Salvi, however, that quantity of alcohol described would have been well above 4 grams per liter, therefore “almost an ethyl coma”. The medical examiner then analyzed the photographs depicting bruises on the alleged victim’s body. Bruises which, according to the expert’s refutations, would not be compatible with the shaking of hands, but would be signs subsequent to the episode in mid-July. (HANDLE).
