Attacking player Vincenzo Grifo has prematurely extended his contract with SC Freiburg (29), which ran until 2024. As usual, the Bundesliga club does not provide any information about the new contract period.

Grifo moved to Freiburg in 2015, his stay in Breisgau was interrupted by stations in Mönchengladbach and Hoffenheim. So far, the right-footed player can look back on 180 appearances for the SC, in which he scored 55 goals himself and conceded 59 goals.

“I feel incredibly comfortable in Freiburg and have found a piece of home here with my family. We are also on the right track in terms of sport and I would like to do my part to continue on this path.”says the eight-time Italy international.
Freiburg’s sports director Jochen Saier says: “Vince and the SC, it just fits. […] Whether on the pitch with his mix of creativity and goal threat or off the pitch as a figure I can identify with – Vince is a player who connects and has become a face of SC Freiburg.”
