On May 28, 2022, the “Greif” team will welcome the Lübeck Cougars in the always hot Baltic Sea Derby.
Memories of the previous three games in the 2nd Bundesliga in the temple of the FCH are awakened. At the premiere event of the Griffins in 2018 in the Ostseestadion, there was a 20:3 against the former first division relegated Berlin Adler. The Griffins remained undefeated in the Ostseestadion in 2019 – the 41:29 spectacle against Hanover. Last year, the winning streak had to be interrupted. The circle was closed, because once again the Berlin Adler were guests. This time they had the better end on their side and returned to LEAGUE 1.
The Lübeck Cougars have always been a hot opponent in recent years and provide great entertainment and excitement. The Trave men, who are drawing attention to themselves with spectacular new signings before the 2022 season, certainly want more than just 6th place in the table this year. Hopefully they will be supported by a large number of fans. That’s another reason why everyone is looking forward to another atmospheric game in the Ostseestadion.
Advance booking for this once again exceptional event starts IMMEDIATELY via the Online ticket shop of the Ostseestadion, in the three Hansa fan shops (KTC, Breite Straße and OstseePark) and in the Press Center and the Griffins’ website. The plan is to open the west and east stands with a fixed choice of seats. There will be parking spaces directly in front of the stadium. The stadium gates are expected to open at 4:30pm for a TAILGFATE party, kickoff is scheduled for 6:30pm under FLOODLIGHT. Of course, the mascot GRIFFINO and the Griffiness cheerleading team will heat up the audience this time too! Further highlights around the game will be announced in a timely manner.
