Earlier, Mundo Deportivo reported on a possible swap deal between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona, where Antoine Griezmann and Saul Niguez are the main characters. The former would then return to Atlético, which he left in 2019, while Saul would leave Atlético for Barcelona.

On Thursday, new information comes in the case – where Griezmann no longer wants to train with Barcelona. The forward is currently on holiday, but is not eager to return to Barcelona and is waiting for a call from the club, writes Cadena Cope.
One reason why Barcelona should consider the change is that they want to bring in an inner midfielder after losing Georginio Wijnaldum and Saul in the squad against Griezmann also reduces salary costs.
