Greta Thunberg explains: love, stardom, alcohol – this is what her life really looks like
By Holger Koehler-Kaess
London, England) – Obsessed for days Greta Thunberg (19) returned to the media after a few months without being heard. The reason behind the hype is the imminent release of Thunberg’s first book, The Climate Book, which is expected to launch at the London Literature Festival on October 30th. The Swedish climate activist is now in a lively mood to chat. The 19-year-old also has something to say about love, celebrities and alcohol.
In the British Times Thunberg answered questions this weekend and made an unusually large number of private statements.
You might even look at student cards when it comes to love and partnership. So she expressed concern about romantic relationships: “When I get close to them, you are more vulnerable. So you have people who admire you, but you are also much more vulnerable.”
Alcohol, to melt a little in this sense, is not a solution for her. “I would never go for a drink … I would never do anything … stupid, and I don’t know if it’s because I’m that kind of person or if it’s because I don’t want to be ‘seen’. I think it could be both.”
Greta Thunberg talks openly about her childhood: “I was very strange”
In private life, the “Fridays for Future” fighter is afraid of letting go and being too close. But has he already used his fame of him to contact other celebrities?
Thunberg also ended up being a teenager
Thunberg, who has Asperger’s syndrome, told the Times she refrained from connecting with other celebrities despite having something in common with them: “There are very few who experience grassroots fighting while being persecuted by the paparazzi.”
And what does the climate activist, whose proceeds from the book go 100% to charity, make a living? Thunberg admitted that his financial situation was “unsustainable”.
The teenager explained that he lives in a friend’s apartment because all addresses in Sweden are public. She doesn’t know exactly what she wants to do with her life after her.
After this interview, it seems clear: some of the problems that plague Greta Thunberg also affect millions of other teenagers …
