ADHD is a minor medical condition. ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is commonly referred to as ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). Inattention, hyperactivity, and jumping around are the main symptoms. This condition is also known as Minimal Brain Dysfunction and Hyper Kinetic Syndrome.

Reasons

ADHD is thought to be caused by some subtle but unexplained damage to the brain. Brain cells need certain chemicals to communicate with each other. Prominent among these are dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin, and imbalances in these have been shown to contribute to ADHD. Many reasons have been cited in this regard, such as injuries during childbirth and malnutrition in early life.

Symptoms

As mentioned earlier, the three most important symptoms are inattention, hyperactivity, and jumping. These are seen to some extent even in adults. Therefore, if symptoms persist for more than six months, it is necessary to see a psychiatrist for diagnosis.

A) Attention Deficit : Constantly making careless mistakes in learning and other activities. Unable to concentrate on studies and other activities, the child does not listen to those who speak directly. Not following instructions and not completing tasks on time. Avoid activities that require mental effort, including homework. Constantly lose toys, school books, pen, pencil etc. Exhibit forgetfulness and lack of concentration.

B) Hyperactivity :Look very upset when told to be calm. Get up and walk around without being able to sit for long periods of time in places like classrooms. Excessive running, jumping, and jumping on and off furniture and doorways during play. Inability to engage in quiet activities during leisure time. Excessive talking.

C) Jump: Jump in and answer the question before completing it. Don’t be patient waiting for your turn. Interrupt other people’s conversations

Apart from this, sitting for long hours in front of mobile phone, computer and television is also a symptom as the constantly changing images do not require attention.

Teachers and parents

Teachers and parents can make the biggest impact on children with this condition. It is the teacher’s responsibility to identify the child in front of them as ADHD and treat the child accordingly. It is also the duty of parents to recognize that their child has this condition and act accordingly. The response of parents and teachers after diagnosis is crucial. Blaming the teachers and the school without understanding the child’s condition and constantly changing the child’s school can be very detrimental to the child’s learning. Parents should be prepared to take necessary counseling for the care of the baby.

treatment

The reality is that the earlier the disease is detected, the more effective the treatment can be. If treatment is started early, the child can be integrated into the mainstream of society without much difficulty or humiliation. The idea that a visit to a psychiatrist will lead to the stigma that the child is mentally ill should be abandoned. Come to terms with the reality that this disability must be treated and cured as an illness.

Effective medications are available today to increase attention and reduce hyperactivity and hyperactivity. By using these medicines properly as per the doctor’s prescription, the disease can be almost overcome. Some people also experience depression and anxiety with this condition. In such cases, use appropriate medicines. Antipsychotic drugs can be considered only if the drugs fail in this condition or the severity of the illness increases.

Treatment with medication is almost entirely effective, but the child may also need counseling, behavior modification therapy, occupational therapy, etc. Excessive anger, learning disability, etc. may require appropriate treatment
