Grenoble: Notice to Green Tourism and Trade Candidates

17 factories on the territory of the Métropole de Grenoble they are involved in both challenges organized as part of the year Grenoble green capital of Europe : the challenge of sustainable tourism is that of Green shops and restaurants. Those wishing to apply are welcome to do so.

The winners will benefit from the right to affix the Responsible Host, Green Business or Green Restaurant sticker on their window and will receive a communication kit with the logo of the European Green Capital.

Minimum three shares

Participants are required to engage in at least three of the actions listed for each challenge.

Therefore, as regards the Sustainable Tourism Challenge, the actions are as follows:

  1. Identify its energy expenditure items and reduce its consumption;
  2. Implement a zero plastic policy in consumer products made available to customers (remove individual bottles of shampoo and shower gel, plastic toothbrushes, packaging for soaps, etc.);
  3. Buy responsibly and locally from eco-labeled suppliers;
  4. Sensitize customers to eco-gestures;
  5. Reduce waste by selecting food waste;
  6. Engage in an energy renewal process of your plant;
  7. Committing to an eco-responsible label.

Responsible food

As for ecological shops and restaurants, we find some of these actions such as sorting of food waste, commitment to an eco-responsible label or responsible and local purchasing, awareness of customers and suppliers, etc.

Others are added: setting up the bulk and accepting the containers, controlling their energy consumption, having them delivered by bicycle, being a company covered by the statutes of the social and solidarity economy or a company with a mission or even offering responsible food (vegetarian alternative to any meal, organic and local, homemade). The restaurateurs participating in the challenge are required to tick the latter action.
