A new restaurant El Chivito, specializing in Latin American cuisine, has opened since February 10 in Grenoble.

Chivitois the name of a Uruguayan sandwich with meat with various accompaniments and it is also the name of the new restaurant which opened on February 10, in the center of Grenoble.
El Chivido Grenoble, the fifth restaurant to open in France since 2007
Located on the site of a former clothing store, in premises of 125 m2 with the addition of a terrace that will be used on sunny days, El Chivito de Grenoble is the fifth to open In France. The very first was launched at Toulouse in 2007 on the initiative of Leonardo De Prado, Uruguayan cook who fell in love with the pink city. The second was created in 2011 at Montpellier under the impetus of another Uruguayan cook, Herman Nehr. Since then, two others have opened their doors, one in Bordeaux in 2012 and the other at La Croix-Rousse in Lyon in 2021.
“We visited Grenoble last year and we loved the city, comment on Leonardo de Prado and Hermann Nehr. We found premises very well located rue Lamartine and we decided to open here on 5e El Chivito. We believe that anyone who loves cuisines from elsewhere will love our recipes.”
Capacity of 80 seats inside, 40 on the terrace
On the menu, in addition to the famous chivitos, you will find tapas to share and typical Latin American dishes such as tacos, quesadillas, cevichefrom meat Argentina wines Chileans, Argentinians and others cocktails houses.
Paris New York opens its eleventh burger restaurant in Grenoble
THE works development of the restaurant lasted a month, between January 9 and February 9, for an amount of 100 000 euros. The capacity is 80 covers inside. Count 40 covers for the terrace once it is open. Four people have been hired to work in the restaurant.
“We plan to open other El Chivito restaurants in the north of France, but the locations have not yet been determined”conclude Leonardo de Prado and Hermann Nehr.
