End of series for Grenoble. The Brûleurs de Loups, who remained on eight straight wins in the Magnus League, lost on penalties on Wednesday in Anglet (3-4 after pens), curiously on the same score as their last two defeats, at the end of January. Canadian defender CJ Garcia, who sparked a storm on Monday by claiming on social media that he had been the victim of a racist insult from a Rouen player, scored the Basque team’s third goal, still penultimate of the standings. Grenoble however remains a solid leader, with 17 points ahead of Rouen who did not play on Wednesday.

L’Angevin Barrier impassable
Angers, third, returns to a point from the Normans. The Dukes won in Mulhouse (2-1) thanks to their goalkeeper Julian Barrier, author of 36 saves on 37 shots. Amiens signed the card of the evening at the expense of the red lantern Briançon (8-2), with a hat-trick from Spencer Naas. This is the ninth victory in a row at home for the Gothics, 4th in the classification. Another attacking festival, that of Cergy in Nice. After leading 6-2 in the wake of Aku Kestila, author of a hat-trick, the Jokers were scared, snatching victory after a third third of madness (7-6). The defeat of Nice validates the qualification of Gap for the play-offs, after those of Grenoble, Rouen, Angers, Amiens and Cergy. The fight will be hot for the last two tickets between Bordeaux, Chamonix and Nice, which are held in three points with four days remaining (the Girondins are two games behind).
