Zapping Quinze Mondial Rugby World cup 2023 – Calendrier
Grenoble’s future is uncertain to say the least. The FCG should know more Thursday on its maintenance, or not in Pro D2 (and in the event of relegation, it is Carcassonne which will go to Pro D2). But while this situation is already not obvious for the Isérois, now a new blow falls on their head, with a decision rendered by the Disciplinary Committee of the National Rugby League.
Grenoble and Perpignan pinned after the match access
The Commission issued its decisions concerning “Disorders caused by players, managers and/or the public of a club or clubs present”, and more specifically for “Troubles caused in the sports enclosure (introduction and/or use of any pyrotechnic devices or articles, of any means of sound amplification, fight(s), throwing(s) of object(s) on or off the field , etc.)”.
These incidents noted by the Commission took place during the match against Perpignan, at the Stade des Alpes. The USAP was also condemned for the same reason. Grenoble thus receives a suspended fine of 5,000 euros, and Perpignan a suspended fine of 10,000 euros.
To sum up
In addition to an uncertain future, the Grenoble club must face a new sanction decided by the Disciplinary Committee of the National Rugby League. The FCG is not the only club sanctioned since this condemnation concerns the access-match against Perpignan, and the USAP was also condemned.
