Grenoble: Alpexpo hosts the French indoor archery championship

10 mars 2023

The event will take place in the capital of the Alps for the next three years.

From March 10 to 12, Alpexpo in Grenoble is hosting the French indoor archery championship. For three days, more than 380 archers and archers aged 21 to 99 will be present, including 80 who will compete in the Elite Championship. “This event closes the archery season. We will have the best French representatives in Grenoble. We are very happy to be able to welcome them.”entrusts Enki Souillot, the coordinator of the championship organized by the First Arc Company of Dauphiné.

This weekend will also be an opportunity to shine the spotlight on this sport which receives very little media coverage in France. For this, the organizers have decided to make it completely free for the general public. “In the stands, you can see a lot of things. The concentration of athletes, for example. It’s also a fairly quiet discipline, the atmosphere is special. Concentration, technique and strength, it’s all very captivating.”he adds.

Note that a Partner Village will also be present with professionals of this sport, local traders or associations. An initiation stand will also be set up to be able to test archery before, why not, taking part in the French championship in a few years.
