Grêmio Welcomes New Signings Rafael Cabral and Edenilson: Details of Their Arrival and Transfer Deals Revealed

The two new Grêmio reinforcements landed together in the early hours of this Friday in Porto Alegre. Goalkeeper Rafael Cabral and midfielder Edenilson arrived on the same plane to present themselves to the club and sign a contract.

The deal with the goalkeeper is on loan until the end of the year, with Gabriel Grando transferred to Cruzeiro for the same period and an option to buy in the contract. The midfielder was released by Atlético-MG and must sign permanently until the end of 2025.

The two players arrived by plane from Belo Horizonte so they traveled together to Porto Alegre. A few minutes after midnight, the two appeared in the Salgado Filho Airport lobby and were received by Grêmio employees.

Rafael Cabral was in his third season at Raposa. Hired at the start of 2022 to replace his idol Fábio, the goalkeeper was the starting point in the team’s return to the Série A campaign. This year was a turbulent time, with criticism from the fans.
